A separate stop

Staten Island Ferry

The Staten Island Ferry is the free city boat between St. George and Manhattan. Bravo is the pizzeria on New Dorp Lane, not a terminal restaurant.

The boat

The Staten Island Ferry runs between St. George Terminal on Staten Island and Whitehall Terminal in Lower Manhattan. It is operated by the New York City Department of Transportation, and the ride is free. The service runs overnight as well as during the day. Headways change. Use the NYC DOT ferry page for the day's boats instead of a clock copied here.

This is not the NYC Ferry system of smaller boats on other routes. It is the large Staten Island Ferry. The photo on this page is not the terminal. It is the Bravo storefront, because the food plan is a different address.

Where the restaurant is

Bravo Pizza & Sports Bar is at 413 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. That is New Dorp, not St. George. The Staten Island Railway stops at New Dorp. The restaurant is on New Dorp Lane, which is a separate walk or ride from the station. This page does not print a minute count for that trip.

Order at order.bravopizzasi.com or call (718) 317-1010 if you want food waiting. Hours are 11 AM to 1 AM daily. The full menu runs until 11 PM, then the Extended Hours menu. The family has made pizza since 1985. This location opened in 2020. The room has 35 TVs and a full bar if the ferry day turns into dinner.

What to order around the trip

A pie or a hero is the practical food before you head to St. George, or after you get back to New Dorp. Pickup is at the New Dorp Lane door. Delivery areas confirmed so far are New Dorp and Great Kills. A St. George address is not on that confirmed list. Enter it at checkout if you want the order site to accept or refuse it. Do not treat this guide as a promise of delivery to the terminal.

Garlic knots are an order of five if the bag can hold them. A slice is enough if you are eating at the counter and leaving. The pizza-delivery page is the pizza-specific order. This page is the ferry, plus where to eat when you are back on this side of the island.
