The item and the photo

Tartufo dessert is a chocolate-covered ice cream in a lot of Italian-American shops. Bravo lists it as Tartufo, with no written flavor line. The photo shows pieces in a chocolate shell, cut open so pink and green ice cream show, dusted with powdered sugar. That is what the picture contains. This page will not rename the colors as fruit or nut flavors the menu does not print.

A finish, not a late-night promise

Tartufo is not on the Extended Hours menu. The restaurant is open 11 AM to 1 AM daily. The full menu runs until 11 PM. After that, check the late list before you promise dessert. Pies are on that late list. This ice cream is not.

It is also not a catering tray. Add the dessert to a dinner order, or call (718) 317-1010 if a party needs more than one. The family has made pizza since 1985. This location opened in 2020.

When it belongs on the ticket

A tartufo is a small finish after pasta, a hero, or a pie. Ice cream wants to be eaten cold, not parked next to a closed pizza box in a warm car. Pickup close to dessert time, or eat it in the room.
