Pizza History
Pizza history is a long public story. Bravo's part of it is short and local: a family making pizza since 1985, and this room since 2020.

The short public version
Pizza history usually starts with flatbreads, which are older than any pizzeria, and then with Naples, where tomato and cheese became the pie people mean. Italian immigrants brought that food to New York in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Lombardi's, on Spring Street in Manhattan, is often credited as the first licensed American pizzeria, in 1905. That credit is a common historical claim, not a fact this restaurant discovered.
New York slice shops, square Sicilian pies, and grandma pies are later local habits on top of that story. Bravo bakes those shapes now. The crust-types post names which buttons they are. This post is not a dough textbook.
Where Bravo fits
The Bravo family has made pizza since 1985, with family locations in Manhattan before this one. The Staten Island restaurant is the first Bravo pizzeria sports bar. It opened in 2020 at 413 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. The about page is the family note. The photo here is that storefront at night. It is not an archival picture of 1985.
The room has 35 TVs, a full bar, and more than 100 seats. That is the current building, not a claim about every earlier Bravo shop. Order today's menu at order.bravopizzasi.com. The phone is (718) 317-1010.
What the history does not change
A history page does not add items. The pies, heroes, pasta, rolls, and trays are the current order site. Hours are 11 AM to 1 AM daily. The full menu runs until 11 PM, then the Extended Hours menu. Delivery areas confirmed so far are New Dorp and Great Kills. Checkout confirms any other address.
If you want the story of one pie, read the Sicilian, grandma, or Chicago Style pages. If you want the shop, walk in or order. The legacy post on this blog is the longer Bravo note. This one is the wider timeline, stopped at New Dorp Lane.
